Konqueror crashes when running in auto=true

Created: 27/Oct/06 07:45 PM   Updated: 06/Jul/07 02:17 PM
Component/s: BrowserBot-Konqueror, Performance/Stability
Affects Version/s: 0.8.1, 0.8.2, 0.8.3
Fix Version/s: None

Original Estimate: Unknown Remaining Estimate: Unknown Time Spent: Unknown
Environment: Our official Buildix VM, running Konqueror on TestRunner.html from the filesystem

 Description  « Hide
Using our official VM, launch Konqueror from the toolbar, browse to TestRunner.html on the filesystem (revision 1575), and run it a few times with auto=true. (Don't worry about a valid postResults URL... you won't make it that far!)

Somewhere about 3/4 of the way through the test suite (usually) Konqueror will crash. When I ran it just now I got a pop-up from KDE saying "The application Konqueror (konqueror) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEV)."

I also tried running it with "ant -f build_mavenized.xml konqTests". When running in that mode, I saw Konqueror just lock up while opening a page. build_mavenized is experimental, so this may not be strictly related, but it provides an easy automatable test case.

Just tried it again with Konqueror 3.5.6 on Ubuntu 7.04. (Note that I was using Ubuntu after running "apt-get install konqueror", not Kubuntu.) Didn't get the old segfault error message, but it did lock up. As the window/chrome refused to respond to events, eventually I had to use Force Quit.
