I might be jumping in a bit quick here but I just installed 1.0 and wanted to verify that it updated my version so I checked the Add-ons window and it was still listed at 1.0b2. I then uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled, restarted and it was still listed as 1.0b2.

Version listed on Add-ons is still 1.0b2
The version number will be updated e.g. it now correctly represents the latest version which is 1.0.2.
